It is a well-known area for good bone-fishing and manatees are a regular sight.

The property is reached by a short boat ride from the nearby village of Sarteneja which is a very picturesque and friendly place. There is an airstrip here with daily flights to Belize City. The property is also only about 12 miles from San Pedro, the famous tourist destination on nearby Ambergris Caye.
